It was Jaws and Paws on Tuesday at Breckenridge with the annual meet between the St. Louis Sharks, Alma Panthers and Breckenridge Huskies.

 

Kirstin Olling of Breckenridge is off to another impressive start, taking first place in 18:31. Her closest competitor, Raquel Serna of St. Louis, ran an impressive time of 19:29.8. Sami Humphrey of Alma was third in 20:36.5, Dominique Adams of Breckenridge fourth in 21:08.79. Hannah Davis, Mallory Munderloh and Laura Kelly of St. Louis were fifth, sixth and eighth in 21:38.8, 21:50.2 and 22:23.7.

 

For Alma, Rachel Kolb was seventh in 21:57.

 

Also for Breckenridge, Rachel Reiber was ninth in 23:31.59 and Hope Davidson 10th in 23:31.8.

St. Louis defeated Breckenridge 26-30. Alma didn’t have enough runners for a team.

 

Breckenridge scored 26 to win the boys meet while Alma had 31 and St. Louis 77.

 

Alma had the top two runners with Broderic Bender first in 17:44.3 and Jake Morey second in 17:49.88.

 

Breckenridge took the next four spots with Nate Partee in 17:55.08, Jesse Corbat in 17:56.55, Kurt Gulick in 17:58.42 and Kyle Gulick in 17:59.18.
