Cedar Springs No. 1 singles player is going strong


Brent Cavner is leading a strong attack for the Cedar Springs Redhawks despite an 8-0 loss to powerful Forest Hills Northern in boys tennis action on Wednesday.

Brent Cavner is leading a strong attack for the Cedar Springs Redhawks despite an 8-0 loss to powerful Forest Hills Northern in boys tennis action on Wednesday.

Cavner's record is 3-3 at No. 1 singles

It's been up and down,” he said.

Eddie Russell, Cedar Springs coach, points out that his team has finished first at one invitational and was second at the Creston Invitational.

Cavner at No. 1 singles and Pat Fernesy at No. 4 have led the team, 3-3.
