Yellowjackets hit the road for 9-0 bid

Ithaca is two wins away from another 9-0 regular season.

But the defending Division 6 football state champions are going to have to do it on the road.

Ithaca plays at Carrollton on Oct. 14 and at Shepherd on Oct. 21 to end the regular season. At 7-0, the Jackets have clinched a playoff spot and are now going for computer points to insure home field the first three rounds.

The Yellowjackets ended the home regular season with a 63-0 blasting over St. Louis last week.

It was 49-0 at halftime and Ithaca added 14 more points in the third quarter.

Travis Smith had another big game with 162 yards rushing and 28 yards passing on three completions. Garrett Miniard had another big game with 102 yards rushing. Zach Allen had 66 yards on two attempts.

Jacob Barnes led the defense with 12 tackles.
