Chippewa Hills and Fowler girls track teams and the Alma, Fowler and Okemos boys were divisional champs on Saturday at the Alma College Scottie Classic.

 

There were four divisions for boy and girl athletes.

 

For the girls, Okemos was second in Division 1. In Division 2, it was Chippewa Hills, followed by Mount Pleasant, Mason, St. Johns and Alma. In Division 3, Shepherd was second and Ithaca third. In Division 4, Fowler was first, Beal City second and Sacred Heart fourth.

 

For the boys, Okemos was first in Division I and in Division 2, it was Alma, followed by DeWitt, Mount Pleasant, Chippewa Hills, Mason and St. Johns. Shepherd was second and Ithaca fourth in Division 3. Fowler won in Division 4 while Breckenridge was second.

 

Girls champs included Shaleen Williams of  Holt on the 100 and 200 meter dashes, Ayda Alavi of Okemos in the 400-meter dash and Kali Dent in the 1,600-meter and 3,200-meter runs. Ashlynn Schiro of Okemos won the pole vault and 100 and 300-meter hurdles

 

Lindsey DeFrain of Mount Pleasant took the 100-meter dash and teammate Lexi Melkie won the 200-meter dash, plus the 400-meter dash. Micheala Bundy of Mount Pleasant won the 800-meter run. Meg Darmofal of Mason was first in the 1,600-meter run in 5:02.92. Karrigan Smith of St. Johns was first in the 3,200-meter run in 11;29.14.
