Sarah Lagendyk and Alyssa Nelson of Morley Stanwood have both earned all-state honors in Division 3 from the Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association.
Lagendyk made the first team at third base by hitting .395, driving in 31 runs with 11 doubles and five home runs.
Nelson, a pitcher, had a 19-6 record with 193 striekouts and a 1.92 ERA. At the plate, she had a .378 average and hit 17 home runs.
Lagendyk played Wednesday (July 18) in the MHSSCA all-star game at Michigan State University.
Morley Stanwood won the Central State Activities Association and the Division 3 districts.
