It’s been an excellent start to the cross country season for Shepherd’s girls team.
Shepherd was first Aug. 29 at the Saranac Invitational.
Kaylie Rhynard won the overall race in 19:54.7.
Taylor Thrush was third in 20:13.5 for Shepherd while Rachel Buckley was sixth in 21:52.1 and Rachel Travis was 10th in 22:35.
The squad was fifth on Aug. 25 at the Pete Moss Invitational in Benzie Central.
For the Blue Jays, Kaylie Rhynard was fifth overall in 19:48.8. Taylor Thrush was 30th in 20:36.2.
Taylor Priest was 45th in 21:25.8 for Shepherd. Rachel Buckley was 52nd in 22:00.1.
