Beal City’s cross country girls were second Friday at Montabella’s Mustang Invitational. The Aggies had 72 points compared to 37 for first place Shepherd.
Hannah Steffke was first for Beal City in its division at 19:32 for the girls race while Emily Steffke was third in 20:21, Hannah Neyer was fourth in 2:28, Ariel Salter 10th in 22:10 and Hayley Neyer 13th in 22:19.
For the Beal City boys, the Aggies were sixth in 149. Nick Pung was fourth in 17:49, Ethan Schafer fifth in 17:57, David Reihl 16th in 19:02, Brendan Carrick 18th in 19:16 and Zach Bellinger 21st in 19:24.
