Beal City has gained a spot in the district finals at Pine River.

Beal City, 51-3-1, defeated the host school 25-12, 25-12, 25-19 and will play Beaverton in tonight’s title match at Pine River.

“The first two games we started off strong,” Beal City coach Kelly David said. “The third game, we let them play with us a little bit. Overall, I thought we played very well against them. We kept attacking and played good defense.”

All-state hitter Addie Schumacher made sure the Aggies were too tough at the net for the Bucks “I do like how we’re playing right now but you can always get better,” David said. “We have a lot of improvement to do. We’ll keep trying to get better in practice and get better in the game.”
