The area had the top four runners in the state in the Division 2 state cross country finals Nov. 2 at Michigan International Speedway.
That included Austin Sargeant of Cedar Springs, who was first in 15:42.7.
Mason VanDyke of Mason was second in 15:48.5. Sargeant ran as an individual and VanDyke competed as a team. Alex McCormick of Haslett ran as an individual and was fourth in 15:58.1.
Mason was 12th place as a team. Paul Pioszak was 12th in 16:16.1 for Mason while Greg Ingle was 49th in 16:57.4, Ben Geer 105th in 17:32.7, Chris Thornton 159th in 18:24.4, Jonah Horton 166th in 18:37.8 and Jacob Hanson 184th in 19:32.8.
The top 30 earned all-state honors.
