Beal City’s girls volleyball team is one victory away from a Class C regional title. Coach Kelly David’s Aggies improved to 53-3-1 with a 3-0 victory over Houghton Lake on Tuesday in the Class C regionals at McBain.
Beal City will play Traverse City St. Francis Thursday night in the title match. Addie Schumacher had 19 kills, five digs and three blocks for Beal City.
For the Aggies against Houghton Lake. Melanie Schafer had five kills and a team-high 17 digs. Anna Reihl had 13 digs while Nicole Gross had five kills, three assists, two blocks and a dig and setter Jenna Theisen had 29 assists.
