Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart has advanced in the state regional semifinals for volleyball in Class D. Sacred Heart improved to 49-11-5 and will now play Mid-State Activities Conference rival Ashley in the finals on Thursday. Sacred Heart had a 25-13, 25-12, 25-6 win over Pentwater at Coopersville Tuesday.
Lexie Methner led Sacred Heart with 17 kills, followed by Lauren Sabuda with eight digs and Sara Hansen with 38 assists.
Pentwater ended its season at 14-5.
