Beal City’s volleyball team is going to the state quarterfinals next Tuesday at St. Ignace by virtue of winning the Class C regional title on Thursday. Beal City beat Traverse City St. Francis in the Class C regional finals at McBain.

The Aggies, ranked No. 3 in the state, are now 54-3-1. They won the first game over St. francis 25-22, lost the second 27-25 and won the next two 25-21, 25-19.

Beal City will play Calumet, an Upper Peninsula power, in Tuesday’s quarterfinal showdown.

 

Jenna Theisen led Beal City with 47 assists while all-stater Addie Schumacher had 22 kills and 13 digs, Melanie Schafer five kills, 25 digs and four aces and Jordan Schneider with nine kills.
