Chippewa Hills’ wrestling squad compiled a stirring 35-32 victory Friday over Shelby.

The match was tied 23-23 but the Warriors struck it rich with pins at 112 pounds by Kaden Ellis and 119 pounds by Zach King to take a 12-point lead and hung on for the win.

At one stage of the match, Chip Hills was up 23-11 on a pin by Eric Russell at 189 pounds.

 

The meet was a part of the Hometown Heroes event in which Chippewa Hills honored members of the Armed Forces who are Chippewa Hills graduates.
