Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from High School Sports Scene!
We have so much to be thankful for! ‘Tis the season to reflect, when we all can look around and see family and friends and realize that life is really good!
Thanks to all our fall teams for the highlights and memories; now it is on to winter sports. This paper is loaded with outstanding teams and student-athletes as we preview the winter season. It is always a special time for me, being a former wrestling state champ and knowing all the hard work that it took to get there. Kids, “do more than your competion,” is always a great motto. Everyone goes to practice and plays the games, but it is all the extras that you do that will help you achieve your goals. Be responsible inside and outside the classroom; there are many people counting on you. The decisions you make today will affect you for the rest of your life, good or bad. Being a champion in your sport never goes away and leads to bigger and better things in life, believe it or not!
Thanks to my team at HSSS in fulfilling our passion to provide our student-athletes and high schools with more and better coverage, coverage that is well deserved!! In the current state of everything going digital and the decline of daily and weekly newspapers covering our high schools and their student-athletes, it is our goal to provide you with “MICHIGAN’S PREMIER HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS MAGAZINE,” giving kids and communities quality stand-alone feature stories and full color photos that our student-athletes will cherish and be proud of.
