The Corunna Girls Track and Field Team File
The Corunna girls track and field team has turned in some strong efforts this season. The Cavaliers were undefeated in the GAC and placed ninth at the Division 2 regional at Linden. Rylie Martin won the regional title in the pole vault with a vault of 9’11”, while Myah Kelly finished third in the pole vault. Earlier this season, Martin cleared 10’6″, the second-best vault in Corunna history.

The New Lothrop Baseball Team File
The New Lothrop baseball team has picked up where it left off last year. The Hornets, defending Division 4 state baseball champions, have been ranked No. 1 in the state this spring. They are led by senior all-stater Grant Steinborn, who pitched a perfect game this season against Bay City Central. It was the second perfect game of his career for Steinborn, who will play college baseball at Davenport University.

The Corunna Boys Track and Field Team File
The Corunna boys track and field team is finishing the season strong. After taking first place at the Alma Scottie Classic, the Cavaliers placed fourth at the Division 2 regional meet. Noah Jacobs won the 3200-meter run at the regional and took third in the mile. Marshall Walters won the 110-meter hurdles, while Cameron Welte took third in the 100-meter hurdles. Mike Newman placed second in the pole vault.

The Chesaning Boys Track and Field Team File
The Chesaning boys track and field team won the Division 3 regional track and field title at Bath. Chesaning’s relay teams led the way by winning three of the four relays. Travis Young, Zach McFarlan, Jeff Gregory, and Bryan Moore won the 4×100 relay. McFarlan, Ervin Harrison, Gregory, and Moore won the 4×200 relay; and Sam Forsythe, Seth Princinsky, McFarlan, and Harrison teamed up to win the 4×400 relay. Freshman Brandon Keys won the long jump with a leap of 19’4″.
