The Carson City-Crystal Football File
The Eagles enjoyed another strong season on the football field last fall, averaging 34 points per game and finishing with a 7-3 record. They qualified for the playoffs for the third straight season. Senior running back Dallas O’Green earned honorable mention all-state honors, while junior quarterback Zach Pringle was a dynamic running and passing threat who earned all-conference honors as a defensive back.

The Ithaca Girls’ Basketball File
The Ithaca girls basketball team enjoyed a season to remember. The Yellowjackets turned in a 21-3 record and won conference and district titles. They were led by freshman Kayle Belles, who earned all-state honors. The Yellowjackets reached the regional semifinal round in the state tournament under coach Bob Anderson, who earned Class C Coach of the Year honors, as well.

The Alma Boys’ Basketball File
Led by junior big man Dylan Carl, the Alma boys basketball team turned in one of its best seasons in several years. Carl, a 6-foot-9-inch center, led the Panthers to an 18-5 record and a district championship. Alma fell in the regional semifinal to eventual state champion Godwin Heights. Carl earned all-state honors, as he averaged 14 points, 12 rebounds, and four blocked shots per game.

The Fulton Boys’ Basketball File
The Fulton boys basketball team turned in a memorable season that culminated in a run to the Class D state semifinal round, where it fell to eventual state champion North Central Area. The Fulton boys were at their best in the clutch, as they defeated Sacred Heart Academy, 64-60, in overtime to win the regional championship and then defeated Frankfort, 72-67, in the state quarterfinal game.

The St. Louis Girls’ Bowling File
The St. Louis girls bowling team brought home the top prize this season, as it won the Division 4 girls bowling state championship. The Sharks edged rival Ithaca 1,143-1,122 in the state semifinal before defeating Clinton 1,197-1,072 in the championship match. They relied on a balanced attack to get the job done, as Kaitlyn Howd, Jasmine Lowe, Kodi O’Boyle, Kaycee Paksi, and Riley Smith led the way for the team this season.

The Carson City-Crystal Wrestling File
It was a memorable season for the Carson City-Crystal wrestling team that was capped by a dazzling day at the Division 4 state individual finals. A total of five Eagle wrestlers placed, with three winning individual state championships. Senior Dillen Decker capped an undefeated 58-0 season by winning the 160-pound state title. Dallas O’Green (125 pounds) and Alex Baker (112) also won state titles, while Darren Decker (152) took second, and Alex Young (140) placed sixth.
