After passing for over 2,000 yards last year as a junior, what can Alma High School quarterback Justin Doyle do for an encore his senior season?

With two of his top receivers and the bulk of the offensive line back, and with good health, Doyle is poised for a big senior year with the Panthers.

Doyle set the bar pretty high last fall, when he completed 127 of 227 passes for 2,008 yards and nine touchdowns. He also proved to be an elusive runner, as he ran for 498 yards and scored nine more touchdowns.

After a busy summer of preparation, Doyle is ready for his senior season. “I feel like I keep getting better,” he said. “I’ve been working hard. I had some back problems. but I have went through physical therapy and rehabilitation, and I’m 100 percent now.”

With the teammates he has coming back, he’s looking forward to a strong season. “I feel that we might not have a lot of guys on the team, but the ones we have can all play,” Doyle said. “I think we can have a solid season this year and hopefully make the playoffs.”

Doyle will have plenty of help in that regard. “All of our linemen are back,” he said. “Two of our receivers, Darren Olejniczak and Konner Vedrode, return, and the other two coming in are solid. We are confident in our offenses’ ability to score.”
