The Tri-Valley Conference has announced that for the 2019-20 season, it will return to a two-division system.
The Tri-Valley Conference superintendents have decided on what to do with the departures of Shepherd and Pinconning to the Jack Pine Conference.
The new conference will have a 10-team West Division and an eight-team Central Division. The setup focuses on enrollment instead of geography.
Bullock Creek, Carrollton and Millington will go to the West to create a 10-team division that includes Ithaca, Hemlock, Michigan Lutheran Seminary, St. Charles, St. Louis, Saginaw Nouvel and Valley Lutheran.
The Central Division includes Swan Valley, Freeland, Alma, Frankenmuth, Bridgeport, Birch Run, Essexville Garber and Standish-Sterling.
