Owosso volleyball team edges Ovid Elsie in thriller
The Owosso Trojans faced Ovid-Elsie in their home opener on Wednesday night. It was a back and forth battle between the two schools with the Marauders eventually walking away with the win. The two schools fought through a close first set but O-E took it, 25-20. The second set followed suit as it proved to be a tight battle before Owosso pulled away, 25-23. Owosso found momentum in the middle of the third set, however, it was not enough to push them past O-E as they fell 22-25. Down 2-1 in the match, Owosso finally hit their stride in the fourth set as they powered through for a 25-11 win. With the two teams tied on the night, it came down to the final set where the Trojans played tough but were unable to get the job done, dropping the set 12-15.
