Beal City competes in middle school race



The Aggie Middle School Cross Country runners competed at home on Tuesday in the Beal City Invitational against 12 other schools. Owen Gross (12:59.7) finished third in a 66 runner field while Kaylee Locke (13:03.1) and Tailor Onstott (13:03.3) went 1 – 2 in the 114 runner girls’ race. The Lady Aggies placed third with 84 points, 21 back from McBain and just 5 points off runner-up Clare. Rylee Sisco (20th, 15:11.9) was third across for Beal with Genevieve Lasater (28th, 15:32.1), and Haylee Long (33rd, 16:04.9) completing the scoring. Addyson Zuker (18:34.0) posted an excellent improvement over her first two-mile race last week. The Junior Aggies will head into Highland Conference racing at next Tuesday’s Jamboree No. 1 at Evart.
