Freeland girls compete at Bay City Western



The Freeland Varsity Volleyball competed in the Bay City Western tourney on Saturday and finished the weekend 1-2-1.  Freeland began the day with a 25-20, 25-18 win over Garber before splitting with Class A Beverly Hills Groves 17-25, 27-25.  The final matchup in pool play against another Class A opponent, Grand Blanc, ended in a 2 set defeat.

The 1-1-1 record earned the Falcons as 7th seed in the Gold Division where a repeat matchup against Grand Blanc produced another 2 set loss to end the weekend. 

Freeland was led by Lauren Moon with 26 digs, Grace Walker with 28 assists, Cat Talaga 4 blocks, Caitlin Pistro nailed 14 kills and Leiya Rybicki with 4 aces.

The Lady Falcons play next at home against Birch Run on Wed, 9/19 at 7 PM
