Beal City runners are fourth
The second of three Highland Conference Cross Country Jamborees was hosted by Lake City at Roscommon High School on Tuesday. The Beal City boys’ varsity team improved from 5th in Jam #1 to 4th yesterday with 87 points, just eight points out of third and eleven back from second. Alex Taylor placed 7th with Derek Gross in 9th and Levi Eisenbach in 15th. Matthew Kolb and Nathan Reihl rounded out the Aggie scoring in 29th and 32nd. In his second career race, Nathan Coston improved by nearly two minutes while Travis Faber also dropped his season best by nearly a minute. Rachal Weber matched her brother Alex with a 7th place finish in the girls’ race and Emma Gross gained a place from Jam #1 when she crossed in 11th. The teams will compete next at the Saranac Color Run next Tuesday.
