Beal City middle school girls have big day

At Tuesday’s Saranac Color Run Invitational, the Beal City Middle School Girls’ Cross Country team scored just 32 points to win the eight team meet by 15 over the host team’s 47 point total. Tailor Onstott (10:49.8) and Kaylee Locke (10:57.9) took 1st and 2nd to lead the way with Genevieve Lasater (8th, 12:54.7) and Haylee Long (10th, 13:08.4) also finishing in the top-10 on the 1.7 mile course. Rylee Sisco (13:27.0) completed the team’s scoring as she crossed right behind Haylee in 11th. In the boys’ race, Owen Gross closed hard to finish as runner-up by just three tenths of a second in 10:33.8. With just three meets left, the Jr. Aggies will be looking for a strong close to the season, starting with the Montabella Mustang Invite on Friday.
