Our Freeland Girls golf team tied for 1st at the regional girls golf championship at Owosso CC with Flint Powers.  We shot a great score of 358 for a complete team effort.

Olivia Pumford tied for first place shooting a 78 and ending up earning the individual regional championship by winning a two hole playoff in the rain.  It is the first ever individual Regional Championship for Freeland.  Alyssa Argyle tied her personal best by shooting a 90 and finishing on the all regional team in 5th place. Lily Beyer shot a 92 and finished just outside the top 5 in 6th place.  Lydia back shot 98 and finished 8th place and Katie Lazarz shot a 103 and finished 12th.

The course played long and wet but the girls stuck to the game plan and executed the shots they needed to for such a great finish.

Our team is headed to the State Finals next weekend at Forest Acres East GC in East Lansing on Oct 19th and 20th.
