Beal City athletes do well

Four of the Beal City Middle School Cross Country runners extended their season by competing unattached in the Post Regional Open Meet at Friday’s MHSAA Regional Meet in Shepherd. After racing a maximum of 2 miles during the season, they also extended to the varsity distance of 5 kilometers, or 3.1 miles. Eighth graders Kaylee Locke and Tailor Onstott placed 1st and 2nd in a field of 65 female runners as they finished in 19:20.5 and 19:20.7. Fellow 8th grader Owen Gross was 15th male in 19:13.3 and 7th grader Genevieve Lasater posted an excellent race in 23:29.7. These Jr. Aggies have had a super season and showed will, commitment, and talent as they challenged themselves….. and delivered!
