ITHACA – Millington eliminated Ithaca from the playoffs with a 50-33 win. This is the earliest the Yellowjackets have been eliminated from the playoffs since 2007 and the 50 points allowed by Ithaca is the most they have given up since they gave up 58 to Reese in 2001.

The Cardinals were led by senior running back/defensive end Jack Shreve. The senior had 194 yards rushing on 29 carries and three touchdowns. He also had eight tackles on defense including three tackles for loss and two sacks.

Drew Germain was 4-7 passing for 117 yards and two scores. He also had 58 yards rushing and a score.

Keagan Butterfield caught two passes for 66 yards and a score. Ethan Brady also caught two balls for 50 yards and a score.

Defensively Hunter Maxon and Germain had five tackles apiece. Brady and Cole Hill each had one interception. Hill also had 46 yards rushing and a score.

Millington will now move on to face Montrose next week in the district finals.
