Breckenridge’s dream football season came to an end with a 39-20 loss to Reading in the Division 8 football title game on Friday at Ford Field. The Huskies scored first on Carter Staley’s 13-yard touchdown pass to Hunter Collins. But Reading came back with 24 unanswered points for a 24-8 lead. Collins caught a 12-yard pass from Staley to make it 24-14. But Reading added 15 more points.
Breckenridge also scored on Collins’1-yard run.
Breckenridge’s final record was 13-1.
