Senior Olivia Mayle of Breckenridge’s competitive cheer team, has been named female Athlele of Week for High Schol Sports Scene.Olivia is a 2 time State Champion, 2 time All-State Competitive Cheerleader at Breckenridge. However last year Breckenridge did not field a Varsity Competitive Cheer team and perennial Breckenridge Cheer Coach, Deb Gaines retired from coaching. Under the direction of a new coach and with only 2 other veteran cheerleaders, Olivia is leading and helping guide the young team that out of their 3 competitions so far this season have placed 1st twice and 2nd once. Olivia is an all-around cheerleader. She is in all 3 rounds; she tumbles, bases, and flies. To have all of these skills along with her leadership and dedication are very rare attributes of a cheerleader and make her a standout athlete that any coach would love to have as part of their team.
