Led by a trio of individual champions, the DeWitt wrestling team turned in a big showing at the Division 2 individual wrestling district at Mason.
Along with three champions, DeWitt qualified a total of 13 wrestlers for next week’s individual regional at Vicksburg.
Senior Quenten Hall improved his record to 26-4 for the season as he won the 152-pound title. Junior Jacob Brandt upped his record to 30-10 as he won the 171-pound title. Sophomore Chandler Murton captured the 189-pound title as he improved to 28-7 for the season.
A pair of DeWitt wrestlers placed second including Nick Ebright (119), Matt Foddrill (125).
Placing third for DeWitt were Cael Weinzweig (103), Kiefer Kolito (112), Ronald Slater (135), Luke York (140) and Zachary Hasse (285). Finishing fourth for DeWitt were Tyler Brandt (145), Douglas Trutzl (215) and Anthony Munoz (285).
