MONTROSE – The Cardinal wrestling team qualified three wrestlers for the next weekend’s individual regional tournament at this past Saturday’s district tournament. Jack Sherman (112), Hunter Norris (119), and John Hitman (171) will all travel to Richmond on Saturday, February 16 with hopes of moving onto the state finals.
Sherman won an individual district. His record is now 36-6 and will face Greg Howard of Grosse Ille in his first match in regionals.
Norris finished in fourth place. His record is now 38-3 on the season. He will face Allan Davis of Clawson in his first match in regionals.
Hitsman came in third place. His record is now 28-13. He will face Wesley Peters of Richmond in his first match in regionals.
