What a comeback! We were down 14 at the half and down as many as 18 points mid 3rd. These boys are resilient. You can’t count these guys out. They’ve had so many great comebacks over the years. I was never too worried. I knew we had a few runs in us. I mean I was a little worried, but not a lot worried. Ha.
We were a little off in the first half and Ashley hit six 3s and we missed a few easy shots. We picked up the defense pressure in the second half & did a great job maintaining our composure. It’s easy to give up when you’re down big. It’s harder to fight and my guys fought like hell in the second half. I couldn’t be more proud of these boys in this comeback effort! They continue to show grit, heart & determination. Their an amazing group of young men. This was a total team effort! Great teamwork won the day.
We killed Ashley on the boards (39-22). It’s awesome when you can get 3 guys with double digit rebounds.
Connor was clutch in the 4th quarter. The guys did a great job of getting him the ball and he delivered yet again.
We are now 9-9 (6-7 in MSAC). We travel to Farwell tomorrow for our 4th game in 5 days.
Coleman JV also won 34 to 18. Bo Carbeno had 11 pts. Coleman JV is now 8-10.
