MILLINGTON – Millington’s prolific use of the longball continued on Friday night against the Lancers from Bullock Creek. The cards hit five home runs in a doubleheader sweep. Gabbie Sherman hit two, while Sydney Bishop, Darrien Roberts, and Madi Hahn each hit one. Millington won game one 13-1 and got a shut out in game two 13-0.

Sherman got the win in game one while striking out nine batters and allowing one hit. Bishop led the way offensively with three hits and five RBIs. Leah Denome, Hahn, and McKenna Slough all had two hits. Sherman, Sabrina Gates, Hannah Rabideau, and Elizabeth Bees each had one hit.

Game two saw Gates get the start. She struck out seven batters in five innings of pitching. Denome pitched the sixth inning striking out two batters.

Sherman and Hahn each had three hits, three RBIs, and scored two runs. Denome and Bishop had two hits apiece. Roberts, Gates, Rabideau, Slough, and Naveah Hendricks each had one hit.
