Coleman’s softball season ended at 35-8 on Friday at Michigan State University with a 6-1 loss to Kalamazoo Christian in the Division 4 state semifinal. KC broke it open with four runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Jaden Berthume took the loss for the Comets. She allowed six runs on 11 hits. She and Katlyn Pnacek had two hits apiece for Coleman. The Comets had four combined hits.
