MAPLE CITY – Millington took a three hour plus road trip to Maple City in the Leelanau Peninsula to do battle with Glen Lake High School. The Lakers used the strong wind to their advantage in the second quarter to score all of their points and come away with a 26-7 victory.

Millington scored on an 18 yard double pass in the fourth quarter from
Isaac Slough to Zac Yorke to Hunter Maxon. Jonah Williams kicked the PAT.

Millington was led by Maxon’s 86 yards rushing on 24 carries. Remington Ray led the receiving core with three catches for eight yards. Slough completed eight passes in 14 attempts for 35 yards.

Defensively Yorke and Jordan Rabideau each had five tackles.

Millington (0-1) returns to action next Friday evening playing host to Ithaca. Kick off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
