HEMLOCK – Millington’s defense went to Hemlock looking to slow the high flying offense of the Huskies. The defense held firm, holding Hemlock to only 142 yards and six points as Millington picked up their first win by the score of 15-6.

The Cardinals defense was led by senior Zac Yorke’s seven tackles, one sack, a forced fumble and a pass deflection. Zac Finatri and Jordan Rabideau each had five tackles. Leyton Mays had an interception and deflected two passes.

Millington ran for 224 yards as a team, led by Remington Ray’s 99 yards on 18 carries and one touchdown. Hunter Maxon ran for 94 yards on 27 carries and one touchdown.

Millington (1-3, 1-2) will host Bullock Creek (2-2, 2-1) for Homecoming next Friday, September 27. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

This year’s theme for Homecoming is “Fast Food Restaurants.” The parade is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. on Friday the 27th.
