Freeland celebrated eight seniors tonight in front of a large crowd of fans to encourage the Falcons as both sides battled for every point. With the 3-1 win of the Eagles, Freeland stays in the running for second place in the TVC West sitting at 5-1 in conference play behind Birch Run.

In the first set, Freeland matched point for point to 18. With strong serving from the Eagles and a few unforced errors by the Falcons allowed Frankenmuth run off six unanswered points to take set one 25-18.
 
Freeland took the lead early, behind the serving of Kadyn Blanchard, in set two and never gave it up. The Falcons won set two 25-19.
 
The Falcons took an early 8-2 lead in set three. However, the lead slipped away when Aubrey Jacobs from Frankenmuth served for 6 straight points. It was then that the battle picked up. Freeland fought off the feisty Eagles to win set three 25-23.
 
Freeland closed out the night with the win in the fourth set 25-19. 
 
Caitlinn Pistro led the Falcons with 15 kills, 11 digs, and 2 aces. Elli Howard added 10 kills, 3 aces and 9 digs. Caroline Talaga also had 8 kills, 4 aces and 4 blocks. Allie Reams also had 4 aces and added 8 digs. Leiya Rybicki dished up 21 assists while also serving up 3 aces.
 
The win tonight brings Freeland’s record to 25-10-2. The Falcons are back in action on Saturday at the North Branch tournament.
