Pewamo-Westphalia is now 11-0 after a thrilling 36-35 win over New Lothrop for the regional title on Friday night at New Lothrop.
The Hornets cut it to 36-35 in the fourth quarter on Avery Moore’s touchdown pass but missed the extra point.
Tanner Wirth ran for 244 yards and two touchdowns to lead the P-W attack. Carter Thelen ran for 91 yards and three touchdowns. The Pirates had six extra points. Ethan Thelen was 5-of-7 in passing for 57 yards. Avery Moore was 14-of-23 in passing for 293 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 67 yards. Will Muron ran for two touchdowns.
