Ovid Elsie improves to 2-1

SCHOOLS:

The Lady Marauders improved to 2-1 with a 46-29 win over Lansing Sexton Tuesday night. Ovid-Elsie was paced by Caitlyn Walter who had 11 points, 3 assists and 3 steals. Lauren Barton (5 assists) and Kiah Longoria (3 steals) each had 9 points for the Marauders.

“I thought we played with better poise and control after the first quarter and our pressure got to them,” said Head Coach Ryan Cunningham. “Overall we had a lot of kids step up and contribute which is nice to see.”

Tristin Ziola finished with 6 points and Lexi Kusnier 4 points, while Braylon Byrnes, Madison Cunningham, and Adrianna Medina each added 2 points. Allison Reppenhagen rounded out the scoring with one. Kaylee Hall added 4 assists while Kalista Bancroft added 3 rebounds and 2 steals for the Marauders.

OE is back in action on Wednesday as Vestaburg visits Ovid-Elsie.
