Ovid Elsie improves to 4-3

Ovid-Elsie improved to 4-3 (1-2 MMAC) with a 48-37 win at home over Durand on Friday. After a tight first half, the Marauders opened things up with a 15-2 third quarter and was able to keep the Railroaders at bay the rest of the night.

”We made a couple of defensive adjustments at half and then (Kaylee) Hall opened with a big three to get our offense going, “ said Head Coach Ryan Cunningham. “Once we got going, we relaxed a bit and shots started falling.”

Senior Lauren Barton finished the night with 15 points and 10 rebounds while Caitlyn Walter added 13 points and Kiah Longoria chipped in with 9. Kalista Bancroft, Kaylee Hall, and Braylon Byrnes each added 3 points while Tristin Ziola added 2 and Madison Cunningham a free throw to round out the Marauder scoring.
