Hemlock tops Nouvel

Hemlock had a 33-18 halftime lead and defeated Nouvel 58-35 on Friday. Hemlock is 5-0 overall and 4-0 in the TVC. Jayden Evans had 18 points while Nolan Finkbeiner had nine points, and Brayden Green and Brady Devereaux had eight points apiece. Devereaux and Evans had seven and six rebounds respectively. Green and Mitch Hingston both had five rebounds. Evans had three assists and three steals. Dylan LaGrow had three assists. Sam Buckingham had 17 points and Luke Losa nine for Nouvel.

Coach Matt Buer: “Hemlock jumped out to an 8-0 lead to start the game and never relinquished the lead. Nouvel made a few runs in the first half before Hemlock took control and built a 15-point lead going into halftime.

“Dylan LaGrow hit two big threes in that second quarter to widen the margin. Jayden Evans played an awesome game tonight. He plays so under control and has such a feathery touch around the rim. Bench play was a big part of our success tonight.”

The next game is Jan. 14 against Bullock Creek.
