Alma was up 37-25 at halftime and advanced to this league win 59-45 on Friday. Ben Reinert led the Eagles with 18 points and 10 rebounds and Derek Humpert had 6 points and eight boards. Alma jumped out to a 16-6 lead and kept the lead the rest of the game. Alma led at halftime 31-21. In the third, Frankenmuth made a great push out scoring Alma 15-8 with some strong finishing inside. Alma then slammed the door with a 20-9 4th quarter to pick up the TVC win. It was the second one loss team in two games they have vanquished. Connected defense and balanced scoring have been the spark, Alma coach Jerome Cleveland said.
