Comments from coach Mark Lasceski of St. Johns: “The Redwings jumped out to an 8-2 lead going in to the 2nd quarter. Fowlerville battled back in the 2nd quarter behind a 13 – 6 run and took a 15 – 14 lead going into halftime. The Gladiators started the 3rd quarter on a 6 – 0 run to build a 21 – 14 lead. The Redwings then went on a 10 – 0 run to regain the lead 24 – 21 late in the 3rd quarter. With the score tied at 24, the Gladiators went on an 8 – 0 run to go up 32 – 24 with about 4 minutes to go in the 4th quarter. The Redwing made one final push and cut the lead to 4, 36 – 32 with 1:49 left to go in the game but could get no closer as Fowlerville went on to the victory.
