Frankenmuth was back on the road again on Friday looking to bounce back from their loss on Tuesday night to Garber. Despite a slow start, the Eagles managed to grind out a 47-41 victory over the Vikings.

With Swan Valley packing the paint on the defensive end, the Lady Eagles looked to score from the perimeter. Senior Kelynn Kujat, junior Laney Soulliere, and freshman Tiffany Keller each knocked down a pair of threes as the Eagles finished with nine for the game.

Defensively, the Eagles struggled to contain Swan Valley’s Taylor Sas, as the Viking senior went 10-12 from the free throw line and finished with a game-high 20 points. Sas kept the Vikings in the game until the final few moments. The Eagles were also very successful from the line, finishing a perfect 12-12 for the game, including 6-6 in the final quarter. Both Kujat and sophomore Zoey Persails knocked down a pair of free throws in the final minute of the game to seal the win.

Kujat led the Eagles with 12 points, 4 steals, and 3 assists. Persails finished with 9 points and 4 boards, while freshman Lexi Boyke also chipped in with 9 points, 8 boards, and 2 assists.

With the win, Frankenmuth improves to 12-4 (9-3 TVC East) on the season. The Eagles are still two games behind Freeland in the conference standings with just two weeks left in the regular season.
