The girls varsity bowling team competed this past weekend in the MHSAA Regional’s event hosted by Essexville Garber at Alert Lanes. Friday the girls bowled 6 baker games and 3 Peterson games ending with a total pin count of 2411, putting them in 13th place out of 15 teams. The girls struggled with the shot on Friday and were not able to adjust to the oil pattern. The Garber Dukes ended up winning the Regional title in their home house, with Ovid-Elsie coming in second and Midland Bullock Creek taking third. All three schools earned spots in the state finals next weekend in Jackson.

Saturday the girls competed in the singles competition bowling 6 Peterson games. There were 84 girls competing on Saturday, with the top 10 earning spots in the state finals next weekend. The Eagles did bowl better on Saturday, but it was not enough to earn a spot in the finals.
