The Midland Dow boys varsity team improved its record to 5-1-3 on the year with an 8-0 victory over Bay City Central. Dow next plays at LaPeer on Tuesday.
Dow coach Terry Schwartzkopf: “Today was a great day for these guys to go out and put into action what we worked on in practice this week. I saw some improvement in the areas we have been targeting. That is a great sign. It will be nice to have some time to rest up this weekend so we can come back and start pushing ourselves to see how much we can truly improve.”
Winners for Dow were Joaco Angibay at No. l singles, Tom Wood at No. 2, Gavin Killmaster at No. 3 and Aaron Li at No. 4. Winning at doubles were Caleb Qiu and Zakey El-Nachef at No. 1; Thomas Ladwein and Logan Yu at No. 2; Aiden Tnis and Bobo Qiu at No. 3 and Marshall McGaugh and Roofy Elsaadany at No. 4.
