The Frankenmuth Eagles remained undefeated by shutting out the Alma Panthers 36-0 on the first Varsity game on the new turf field. After the Eagle defense stopped the Panthers on downs on the opening drive of the game, the Eagle offense went to work going 56 yards in 9 plays capped off by a Cole Lindow 27 yard TD who also added the two-point conversion and a 8 – 0 Eagle lead.

On the second play of the 2nd quarter, Eagle QB Davin Reif scampered 5 yards for a score and Seth Malmo added the PAT. Reif added his second score of the game at the 7:12 mark of the 2nd quarter on a 6-yard run and a 22 – 0 Frankenmuth lead which held to halftime. On the opening possession of the 2nd half, the Eagles went 55 yards on 10 plays grinding up 5:56 time of possession, culminated by Riley Roy’s 6-yard run and a 29 – 0 lead.

The lone 4th quarter score was a Daniel Barger 1-yard run for the 36 – 0 final. The Eagle defense again dominated action, limiting the Panthers to 4 first downs and 69 yards of total offense. The Eagles gained 320 yards of offense with Lindow rushing for 80 yards. Reif was 6 of 12 passing for 95 yards, with Roy grabbing 4 receptions for 59 yards. Defensively, the leading tacklers were Konnor Roche with seven, Jacob Bellinger with six and Michael Carter and Hunter Leddy with five each.

Alma was limited to 40 rushing yards.

The Eagles will host Birch Run next week.
