Alma’s boys basketball team defeated Ithaca 79-58 over the weekend.
After Alma jumped out to a 7-2 lead, Ithaca closed the quarter on a 12-6 run to take the lead 14-13, Alma outscored Ithaca 23-13 in the second behind 9 Gadde pts, after pushing the lead to 18, Ithaca trimmed it to 8 at the end of the third, in the 4th it Alma closed the door on a 24-11 run.
Alma was led by Paul Gadde’s 25 points, 10 rebs 7 steals, Sam Leppien 15 pts 11 rebs, David Apple 10 pts 5 assists 5 steals, Cade Frillici 11 pts, Mike Howey 9 pts, & Connor Lemerand 7 pts 12 rebs.
Ithaca was led by Brendan Wood’s 22 pts, Grant Weburg’s 13, and Gibson Marr’s 9.
Alma goes to 3W 0L, 2W 0L in TVC. Alma plays at John Glenn Tuesday.
