Meridian girls basketball takes big step forward and moves to 3-1 concluding a 52-40 win at home over the flying G’s of Gladwin. 

The Mustangs had a Balanced attack on offense and their swarming team defense lead the way to victory on Saturday.
 
It’s all about playing together. Being “connected.” All 5 players being on a string. Playing as one, on offense and defense. And we are slowly working our way to that style of play. 
 
Taylor Hopkins lead meridian in scoring with 17 points. Jenna Holzinger had her first double double of the season with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Ashtyn Kelly added 8 points & 7 rebounds. Trinity Kolka scored 6 points while freshman Josie Barriger had 5 points and 7 assist. 
 
Gladwin was lead by Kokotuch’s 22 points.
