Coach Tanner Smith: “Great first half by our young Meridian mustang squad. We Played aggressive and threw the first punch with our defense which created offense for us vs. 1st place Beaverton.
“Leading at halftime I was optimistic. Beaverton’s strong 3rd quarter defense and hitting open 3’s in transition when we didn’t get matched up hurt us. It gave Beaverton the momentum they need to pull away.
“I’m so proud of my team and I’m eager to get back to practice and get better.”
