Cedar Springs girls took first place in the large-school division at the Warrior Cross Country Invitational at Chippewa Hills on Tuesday.

Kenzie Weiler was the medalist for all runners with a time of 18:13.29. Katie Weiler was third in 19:18.03.

Also for the Redhawks, Sommer VanDyke was fifth in 19:47.12. Caitline McClurken was seventh in 20:49.12 and Maddy Perkrul eighth in 20:49.56.

Kendah Oberdorfer was 11th in 22:15.64 and Christina Dean 12th in 22:20.54.

Cedar Springs also won the boys large school race with 23 points while Freeland had 59.

Connor Mora was first in 15:37.46 while Aaron Brooks, Justin Harthorn, Alex Bray, and Ethan Menefee were fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh in 17:08.07, 17:28.91, 17:42.80 and 17:50.7.
